WWUD: Return the money or run?
Okay, in the era of bank bailouts, you the tax-payer are roundly paying for the mistakes that banks have made. However when a financial institution mistakenly deposits $6.1 million into your account, you’re expected to give the money back. Well two New Zealanders who accidentally received that sum have taken some of the money and run. International authorities are now searching for the couple. What would you do? Return the money? Make a dash? Our opinion is that living on the lamb is lame living. While the feeling of GREED is nothing to hide nor be ashamed of (although feeling SHAME also just a feeling) it’s another thing to act on it. Hey, note to banks: choices and actions have consequences. Supposedly. Oh, BTW, a shout goes out to our boy Ken Lay — wherever you are.
