The world’s last 350 North Atlantic right whales live along the East Coast. Collisions with ships are a deadly hazard, but new listening buoys are helping. The site has an illustrated map of the acoustic buoys that is constantly updated with the most recently detected whale calls. The site has informative video overviews and interactive features that let you listen to whale song.
The network is an initiative of the Bioacoustics Research Program at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology
