Angelina Jolie attends Beowulf premiere

11.12.07 Angelina Jolie has attended the London premiere of her new film, a 3D animation of the epic poem Beowulf.

The digital Angelina Jolie nude avatar may not be suitable for certain children — specifically her own whom she says will not be getting a chance any time soon to watch the Robert Zemekis-helmed Hollywood picture. 

The film is of course based on Beowulf the the classic work of English literature taught in many schools, but it just might be the visual portrayal of violence and not the film’s display of nudity that may make it child un-friendly. With this we whole-heartedly agree.

While shooting, she imaged her character of Beowulf’s half-lizard mother would be rendered more like a cartoon on the big screen. In the end, her digital self appears much more “clear” and real than she thought it would be. Jolie says that she was “shocked” when she saw it.
